The EC Commission has launched a website for the European Competition Network.

When you think about it, interesting institutional questions are raised by the European Competition Network. Article 3 of Regulation 1/2003 provides that the antitrust authorities of the member States must apply Articles 81 and 82 EC. But the European Competition Network, when one looks into it more closely, has no formal legal existence. It was established as result - "on the basis of" would not be the right turn of phrase - of a joint statement of the Council and the Commission when Regulation 1/2003 was adopted and the Commission Notice on cooperation within the Network of Competition Authorities.
This cannot succeed in reality, that is exactly what I suppose.
