As we pointed out a while back, the term of office of thirteen judges and four advocates general on the Court of Justice expires on October 6th 2009.
So far it seems that there are four nominations for appointment or reappointment.
The Irish government proposes that Judge Aindrias O'Caoimh be reappointed.
Professor Marek Safjan is nominated by the Polish government to replace Judge Jerzy Makarczyk.
The Slovak government proposes to appoint Judge Daniel Šváby, currently judge on the Court of First Instance, to replace Judge Ján Klučka.
Judge Lars Bay Larsen is nominated by the Danish government for reappointment.
